We provide a variety of appropriate equipment and apparatus to foster the physical development of the children.  Some activities will strengthen muscles whilst others improve manipulation skills or co-ordination.  The children can build with blocks and bricks, play on the climbing frame or with outdoor toys and ride on bikes.  We visit the school hall with the 4+ groups to enjoy music and movement, throwing and catching with bean bags or a game of skittles.  Fine motor control and hand-eye co-ordination, essential for successful writing and drawing, are helped by playing with small construction toys, threading beads, sewing and using tools in woodwork.
