Cumnor Pre-School Nursery offers part-time pre-school education for children aged two to five years.
Children can start at the Nursery once they are two years old. The morning sessions run every day and include a variety of activities from dressing up to the craft of the day. The morning sessions are for 2 year olds and younger 3 year olds.
We offer afternoon sessions to children who are starting full-time school from September 2009. These sessions are designed to prepare the children for school with more challenging, curriculum based activities. In these sessions the ratio of adults is higher than required by national standards (usually one adult per 6 children) so the children are assured of receiving all the one to one attention they need.
Children who attend the afternoon sessions are able to come to the lunch club from 12pm.

Our aim is to provide a secure and stimulating environment in which children learn through play, using a variety of educational toys and equipment. The activities are carefully planned to cover all the areas of the 'Foundation Stage of Learning' (from age 3 to 5) as required by the Government. Please refer to the section entitled 'Nursery Activities' for more information. The Nursery provides at least one adult per eight children over the age of three (or one adult per four children for two year olds).
